How to Make Sense of 'Assembly Evidence'?

When it comes to application domains and services, proof or confirmation, facts and data, verification and indications, are ALL important and found in the assembly evidence.

This 'evidence' is actually runtime-gathered, information-aggregating, to ascertain code-grouping and privileges, permissions and more. Digital signatures, websites and/or folders that is the running-source, form part of it. Giving evidence is like giving ‘controls’ that will in turn, be allocated to this/these assembly/assemblies.

Typically the process would include the creation of a System.Security.Policy.Evidence object, making it the consideration factor and boundary to the application domain’s Execute.Assembly.

Host evidence (see elsewhere) and assembly evidence, will both be required. It refers to the hash, identity, publisher and strong name, rather than URL or host, which would be host evidence of origin/or source. Inputs or sets of information for security decisions, permissions to be given to code. It is part of the assembly itself, customized and added at time of assembly generation, PRIOR to assigning/signing. Defaults ignore it, but it can be extended, to recognize, acknowledge and accept it as such. New evidence classes can be created for both host and assembly evidence.
